For a while it was great fun to post - every week brought more exciting news for the DNs, publishing success or t-shirts. However the last ten days have only brought rejections (for me anyway). Not that I mind that - every writer gets rejection. It's just after broadcasting a run of successes, it's not the same talking about the bad news.
On the good news front, Mirpot has got herself a dog - a six month old border collie called Ruby. I hear he's lovely, but quite nervous (I hope his past experiences were not too awful).
I'm looking forward to meeting him.

I know it is fun posting acceptances and it is no fun getting rejections, but between those two pillars is a wealth of writing news you can write about. I'm looking forward to meeting Ruby too. Didn't realise he was b&w, thought with the name ruby he might be tan.
Well, I believe he is b&w. I heard 'Ruby' came from his lovely brown eyes.
There is of course also a very successful Irish jockey known as Ruby (Walsh) - he might be tan, i guess?
Ah, he is named after his brown eyes... still, misleading name for a b&w dog. i would love to think he is named after Ruby Walsh. He is rather tan and leathery looking.
